NOISE

Stratotech Park is located near rural housing and must comply with noise regulations. All bikes participating in any motorcycle event must have an exhaust system that is no louder than 95db. Testing will be supplied free of charge by the staff at Stratotech Park. Please do not alter your exhaust after the test as just one loud bike could put Stratotech Park in jeopardy. Anyone caught altering their exhaust after a sound test will be retested and if the bike is over the limit the rider will be prohibited from the race track without refund.

BIKE PREP

Some basic bike preparation is necessary to participate in a Track Attack event. Many people ride their bike to the track and prep their bike before the session starts and this is adequate as long as new riders are ready to go before the track walk. Basic Bike Prep includes:

  • Tape up all glass and plastic lenses
    • Mirrors (it is recommended to remove mirrors)
    • Headlight and Taillight (be sure to unplug the lights as it might burn the tape onto the lens)
    • Signal lights
  • Change out coolant and replace with water
    • Please do this at home as the track will not facilitate coolant changes
    • Use distilled water with some form of lubricant like Water Wetter or Cool Down
  • Wire up side-stand
  • Ensure the bike is in good working order
    • Tires are in good shape and are clear of cracks and have adequate tread remaining
    • No leaks; for example, engine fluids are contained, fork seals are good, and all hoses are in good shape
    • Bodywork and other items are securely fastened to the motorcycle
    • No bike will be allowed on the track if the organizers deem the bike to be unsafe

These safety requirements are in place for your and other rider’s safety.
